Statement of Faith

The vision of Lifepoint Church is found in Isaiah 61:1-4 and is a commission to preach, teach, and heal.
Isaiah 61:1-4 - The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead ofmourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
Here at Lifepoint we fulfill the vision through living out the following objectives….
Bringing Life.
We believe that abundant life is given through God the Father, found in Jesus Christ the Son, and lived out through the empowering of the Holy Spirit. We exist to share this life giving truth with our community, our nation, and the world.
Acts 1:8 - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Pointing to Christ.
We believe that our lives should point to and be reflections of Jesus Christ. We exist to train, equip, and encourage our members to establish a lifestyle that imitates Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 5:1-2 - Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children 2and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Being the Church.
We believe that the “Church” is not a building, but believers actively serving each other, the community, and the world. We exist to initiate, build, and cultivate real relationships. Our desire is to love one another by providing for each other as we experience physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Acts 2:42-47 - They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
